This delivery guide explains what to expect after ordering live coral from Gem State Corals and how to prepare for the package’s arrival.

Before your order ships

Confirm that your shipping address is complete and that someone can receive the package. Check aquarium temperature, salinity and available placement space before selecting a delivery date.

Scheduling the shipment

Live-coral packages normally leave Monday through Wednesday. Your requested date is not final until confirmed. Weather and carrier service are reviewed before release.

Tracking and receiving

Watch the tracking information and bring the package indoors immediately after delivery. Avoid leaving livestock exposed to direct sun, freezing temperatures or a hot porch.

Opening and inspecting the box

Inspect the shipment promptly. Corals may appear retracted or muted after transit. Follow the store policy before opening bags if you believe an animal may have arrived dead, because sealed-bag documentation is required for a claim.

Acclimation basics

  • Match temperature carefully.
  • Avoid immediately exposing new pieces to maximum light or flow.
  • Inspect and dip according to your normal quarantine process.
  • Give corals time to settle before evaluating extension and color.
  • Use the product’s care information when selecting placement.
